Coach, Paul Carr is please to introduce this year’s squads who will compete at the OCAA Provincial Curling Championships hosted by Sault College in Sault Ste. Marie in February.

Men’s Team
Joel Adams, Phil Kennedy, Kyle Toset, Brady Trottier

Women’s Team
Nicole Marcil, Jaclyn Morin, Kathleen Murray, Kristi-Ann Taylor

Competition Schedule: Teams will have the opportunity to participate in bonspiels throughout the season. Team members are expected to play in local leagues wherever possible.

A maximum of two teams (1 men’s, 1 women’s or 1 mixed team) will travel to the OCAA Provincial Curling Championships. The Championships will be hosted by Sault College, Sault Ste. Marie, ON February 16^th – 20^th, 2012. Championships will played at the Soo Curlers Club.

Paul has coached the Thunderhawks for two years, having been recruited in 2009. His qualifications include NCCP Level 3 Technical in curling and over fifteen years of related coaching experience in coaching at the competitive level. Paul has coached teams at the Bantam Ontario games, and Canada Games Trials. His junior teams have qualified for the Provincial Championships six years with many playoff appearances including runner up. His lady’s team qualified and competed successfully at the provincial championships in 2008. Paul has coached at Provincial High Performance Camps at the bantam, junior and adult levels. On a personal level, Paul has been a competitive curler in Thunder Bay for over thirty years, most recently competing at the Senior Provincial level in 2008.
