Health & Dental Plan

All full time post secondary students at Confederation College are enrolled in the Student Health & Dental Plan and are covered from September 1 – August 31.  The plan, administered by SUCCI provides affordable health insurance designed especially for students on fixed incomes.

Students have 3 options to consider before the deadline date:  September 27, 2013 (for Fall start students) & January 31, 2014 (for ONLY New students Starting School in Jan)

# 1  Flex Your Plan - You can choose to change your plan benefits at no additional cost before the Deadline date

#2 Opt-Out – If you already have Health & Dental Coverage under your parent/spouse/self you may choose to OPT-OUT of the Student Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage to receive a refund

#3  Family Opt-In – (For those students ONLY who remain on the plan)  Students may choose to Opt-In their spouse/dependents for an additional fee.

#1  Flex Plan Option

Students are automatically enrolled in the recommemded * BALANCED PLAN. You can choose to change your plan benefits at no additional cost before the Deadline date to either the: 

* Enhanced Vision & Prescription Plan, or  * Enhanced Vision & Dental Plan

You must select your plan options prior to the deadline date at www.wespeakstudent.com or you will automatically be enrolled in the Balanced Plan.

 

#2  To Opt-Out of the Plan

If you are covered under another comparable health insurance plan, you may opt-out of the SUCCI Extended Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage. Please click on the Red Stop sign  and complete the online opt out.
Please be aware that you will need to provide proof of similar coverage elsewhere (ie. as a dependant under your parent’s or spouse’s insurance).
Please note that you will not be able to opt out at any other point during this school year. (ie. if you are a September start student, you will not be able to opt out of the plan in January). No exception will be allowed for those missing the out out deadline.

Fall 2013 Deadline:  September 27, 2013 ~ Online Opt-Out is CLOSED!

Winter 2014  Deadline:  January 31, 2014 ~ Opens Dec 19, 2013 – Jan 31, 2014! (for those students starting their first semester in January, who were NOT attending the college in the Fall as a FULL TIME student)

You are only eligible to opt-out before the deadline date of the first semester you are registered in.

 

#3  Family Opt-In

Students may opt-in spouses and dependents for an additional fee.
To be eligible, you must have current OHIP or equivalent coverage.

One Dependent  $418 , Two Dependents  $528, Three Dependents $678, Four + Dependents $868

Winter 2014  – Deadline: January 31, 2014 ~ Opens Dec 19, 2013!
(for those students starting academic year in January)
One Dependent  $353 , Two Dependents  $448, Three Dependents $563, Four + Dependents $728

You are only eligible to opt-in before the deadline date of your first semester, (ie. if you are a January start student, you must purchase family coverage on or before January 31, 2014).

Fall 2013- $208 – Deadline:  September 27, 2013 ~ CLOSED!
Winter 2014 – $166 – Deadline:  January 31, 2014 ~ Opens Dec 19, 2013!
