The Extended Health Plan is based upon the premise that full time post secondary students at Confederation College desire health coverage. SUCCI believes that this Health Plan provides affordable health insurance designed especially for students on fixed incomes.  Family Opt-In option available.

Please visit www.wespeakstudent.com for more information on the Student Health Plan.  This site is very helpfull you can chat live with an operator if you want to ask if a specific question, for example: Is your specific precription covered?   Download claim forms, track your claim and more!  COVERAGE BEGINS September 1st and ENDS August 31st EACH Acedemic Year!  (for those students starting as a NEW student in January, your coverage beings January 1st)

To Opt-Out of the Plan

If you are covered under another comparable health insurance plan, you may opt-out of the SUCCI Extended Health Plan by providing proof of other coverage. Please click on the Red Stop sign  and complete the online opt out.
Please be aware that you will need to provide proof of similar coverage elsewhere (ie. as a dependant under your parent’s or spouse’s insurance).
Please note that you will not be able to opt out at any other point during this school year. (ie. if you are a September start student, you will not be able to opt out of the plan in January). No exception will be allowed for those missing the out out deadline.

Final Opt-Out Deadlines

Fall 2011 Deadline:  September 30, 2011  ~ Now CLOSED!
Winter 2012  Deadline:  February 20, 2012  (for those students starting their first semester in January, who were NOT attending the college in the Fall as a FULL TIME student)

You are only eligible to opt-out before the deadline date of the first semester you are registered in.

To Opt-In to the Plan

Students may opt-in spouses and dependents for an additional fee.  Other students may opt-in to the plan. 
In order to be eligible, you must be a full time day attending student for a minimum of one full semester. 
To be eligible, you must have current OHIP or equivalent coverage.

FAMILY OPT-IN RATES (for spouses and dependent)

Fall 2011 – Deadline: September 30, 2011 ~ Now CLOSED!
One Dependent  $410 , Two Dependents  $520, Three Dependents $670, Four + Dependents $860

Winter 2012  – Deadline: February 20, 2012 (for those students starting their first semester in January)
One Dependent  $345 , Two Dependents  $440, Three Dependents $555, Four + Dependents $720

You are only eligible to opt-in before the deadline date of your first semester, (ie. if you are a January start student, you must purchase family coverage on or before February 20, 2012).

SINGLE OPT-IN FOR FULL TIME NON-POST SECONDARY STUDENTS

Fall 2011- $200 – Deadline:  September 30, 2011 ~ Now CLOSED!
Winter 2012 – $158 – Deadline:  February 20, 2012 ~ Now Open
(for those students starting their first semester in January)
