THE CLASS PRESIDENT SYSTEM

The Class President’s role is to act as a connection between the Student Body and the Board of Directors. SUCCI has important information that needs to be conveyed to the students who make up its membership. The students have essential information and needs that are required by the Board of Directors to ensure that the Board is effectively representing their membership. Regular Meetings are scheduled and chaired by the SUCCI Senators. Class Presidents are selected or appointed by their class/program.

 WHAT DOES A CLASS PRESIDENT DO?

  • Attend all meetings scheduled by the Senator of their division.
  • Communicate concerns, ideas and suggestions from their respective class
  • Relay information and discuss with their class, upcoming activities, services, events and current issues affecting students.
  • Increases the spotlight on your academic program
  • Meet to discuss potential SUCCI activities, services and issues affecting the Student Body.

WHY SHOULD I BE A CLASS PRESIDENT?

A Class President receives and builds on valuable life skills such as interpersonal effectiveness and leadership skills, looks good on a resume, builds a person and professional network of contacts and increases a students chance for receiving scholarships and bursaries.
